From an early age I knew I wanted to help people. I have always had a sense of self and I was confident in the directions I wanted my life to go. But like many of us, I did not know how to turn my passions into a profession. I could not understand how to connect them in a satisfying way. Not deterred by this, I decided to take a cognitive therapist/life coach education, so I could link all my studies, passions and life experiences into one profession.
Lifelong learning is one of my key values, as I see it integral in helping me evolve my own self. During my course, I realised that all the complex challenges I have faced in my life would help me to create coaching solutions that would allow people to find their own inner confidence. As deepened my knowledge in different fields as it relates to coaching, everything started to connect for me and I could start to how to created my own path forward.
Leaning on that core value of education, I have a comprehensive educational history. I completed a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, where I studied a wide variety of arts and philosophy. I then went on to study Communication and Social Sciences for my Master. Whist completing my masters, time I also studied Gastronomy Sciences, where I learnt an extensive use of techniques, senses, pleasures and beauty in food making. In 2019, I started a mindful, cognitive therapist and life coach course specialising in working with kids. In 2020 I took a chocolatier master course, where besides learning how to make chocolate, I also learnt a lot about timing and precision.
In between my educations, I travelled. Whist traveling, I have met and worked with a variety of different people, families, restaurants and farms. My main conclusion was that a conversation spent over food prepared together is soul restoring. Sharing a meal with others allows you to open up and learn new things. It allows you to look at your life from different perspectives, reflected in the eyes of others, and allows you to view in a context and not as the sum of problems.
I have been cooking and teaching for many years. I have observed the calming, meditative and mindful effects of cooking has had on my personality. I realised that my ability to focus has improved. I was much more able to create structure and organise my own life and future plans. Cooking has always kept me in the present, and not worried about the past or the future.

The idea of cooking therapy gave me the opportunity to combine everything I love in life. Talking to people and making food with them. For me everything starts and ends with cooking. I think it is the alpha and omega of life. It can connect us to ourselves, to other people and to nature. It can connect us to our traditions, to new cultures while keeping us in the present moment. I believe that with mix I have created with cooking and cognitive coaching, I can help people find their own paths forward. Making food and eating together is a perfect foundation to begin the journey of improving your life. This is how my therapeutic cooking course was constructed in order to combine my experiences, qualifications and beliefs.
